problem with brand new Norden 901 center stand

Hey folks, just got my Norden 901 expedition, and the dealer added a center stand.

But holy smokes, I can't get this bad boy up on the stand by myself!

Makes me wonder if they accidentally put on a stand meant for the taller Expedition or KTM 890. The only dude I've seen muscle it up is my 6'5" buddy.

Is there any other center stands for the regular 901? And is this happened to other 901 owner or is it just me?

Had my expedition 2 yrs and yes it is hard to get it up on the stand and the return spring is not great so needs a little help to return to up position. Have not looked at alternatives as even when up the rear is not off the deck very much so on rough ground the rear still touches the ground, pain to oil the chain. You’ll find a technique to get it up on the stand. Stick with it great bike.

Hehe when I tried a buddy's expedition center stand, it was a total workout just trying to get it up but I think there are aftermarket stands made specifically for the standard 901 (SW-Motech makes one, I think), and they're way more manageable

A friend of mine had the 901 and had the same issue. It took 2 people to get it on the stand which was stupid and pointless. He replaced it with a t rex racing one which was 100 times easier to use.

Haha yeah, that sounds pretty accurate! Those 901 stands can definitely be frustrating. Great choice with the T-Rex Racing, way easier setup.

Yeah, that center stand is wild. Mine was sooo tough so I swapped to the T-Rex one and never looked back. Definitely way smoother.

Didn't want to start a new thread, cuz I already have you here. Is the t rex that much better? I'm in a similar situation as OP, minus the rib, so I'd like to take care of that.
